    For this position you must have the following qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of Regular Expressions
  • Knowledge of Python regular expressions would be particularly helpful
  • Detailed understanding of and experience working with Internet technologies such as http, ftp, xml, html and Javascript

  • The following skills are definite assets, but not required:

  • Programming experience using Python
  • Using command line tools in Linux
  • Using ticketing or bug tracking systems for managing requests

Content Support Specialist

Our established Toronto­ based publishing firm is currently recruiting a full­-time Content Support Specialist (40 hours/week) to expand coverage on our popular job search engine, Founded in 1992, Mediacorp Canada Inc. is the nation's largest publisher of employment-related periodicals. Our company operates the popular search engine, which was used by over 5 million Canadians last year. Mediacorp also manages the Canada's Top 100 Employers competition, an annual editorial project that includes 19 other regional and special-interest competitions.


    Working from our office, you will work on a team to ensure that our search engine has the widest coverage of new job opportunities posted by employers across Canada. In addition to finding new employers to cover, you will designate appropriate employer websites for automated indexing and be responsible for quality control on the content of jobs on our site.

  • Ideally, you are a recent graduate from an Arts or Sciences program.
  • Highly organized and have a passion for accuracy.
  • Personable, work well with others and can take responsibility for meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, including above average keyboarding skills (please indicate words per minute in your cover letter).
  • Good Internet research skills.
